This month, development focused on strengthening the security and reliability of Mintlayer tools while continuing to modernize the infrastructure behind them. These improvements help simplify future development and prepare a stronger foundation for the next generation of Mintlayer products, including essential user-facing tools such as wallets and the explorer.
Security and Tool Hardening
Work continued across Mintlayer's development tools and supporting services to improve their security posture and resilience. We reviewed and strengthened important flows, reduced unnecessary complexity, and improved safeguards around sensitive operations.
Mintlayer API Server
The Mintlayer API Server was expanded with direct mempool access, making pending transaction data available through the same API surface used by applications and services.
We also added streaming support, allowing services to subscribe to events as they occur instead of repeatedly polling for changes. This makes it easier to build responsive integrations that react to new activity across the network in real time.
Infrastructure Improvements
We continued updating the infrastructure used to develop, test, and maintain Mintlayer products. These changes are designed to make internal systems easier to operate, more reliable to evolve, and better suited to supporting a growing set of applications and services.
Preparing for New Products
Alongside these foundational improvements, the team continued preparing the technical building blocks needed for upcoming Mintlayer products, including essential user-facing tools such as wallets and the explorer. The focus remains on reusable, secure components that can be extended without compromising quality or increasing operational complexity.
This ongoing work gives future product development a stronger starting point and helps ensure that new tools can be delivered with the security, reliability, and maintainability expected across the Mintlayer ecosystem.
