Mintlayer Development Update - October
November 6, 2026

October had progress across the core blockchain infrastructure, developer tooling, and user-facing applications.

Updated Blockchain Explorer

One of the key milestones this month was the rollout of the updated Mintlayer Explorer across both Mainnet and Testnet. Both networks now have access to the refreshed explorer experience, providing a modernized interface for navigating blockchain activity.

The updated explorers make it easier to inspect blocks, transactions, addresses, and other on-chain information.

Mintlayer Connect SDK

The Mintlayer Connect SDK received a bug fix related to Hash Time-Locked Contracts (HTLCs), improving the reliability of atomic swap operations.

Mintlayer Core Development

In October was the release of Mintlayer Core 1.4.3, continuing improvements to the blockchain's stability and supporting infrastructure. The release includes updated node and GUI packages for Linux, macOS, and Windows.

Development also progressed on peer-to-peer networking, including per-peer fork download limits, improved orphan transaction handling in the mempool, and enhancements to the Wallet CLI, including structured output and MCP server integration.

These efforts strengthen network resilience and make Mintlayer's infrastructure easier to operate and integrate with developer tools.
